Arrow is the only charity in Australia dedicated to helping bone marrow transplant patients. They do this through funding medical research into bone marrow and stem cell therapies, providing support for patients and their carers and giving transplant healthcare staff access to further education and training opportunities.

With your help, we can do more to:

-          Support medical researchers and scientists investigating bone marrow and stem cell transplantation as a treatment for leukaemia and many other diseases

-          Provide real, tangible assistance for patients including accommodation, help with the cost of groceries, paying utility bills and helpng with the cost of attending treatment centres for appointments.

-          Ensure transplant nurses and other transplant healthcare staff are receiving best practice training and education through providing scholarships for further tertiary study and attendance at national and international transplant conferences.

Every year, transplant specialists from around the world come together to present new findings and innovative treatments at the European Society for Bone Marrow Transplant Annual Meeting. In 2019, there were 5640 particiants from 95 counties. Arrow funded two leading transplant nurses from Australia to attend this meeting in Germany and that knowledge has been shared with their many transplant colleagues in Australia.
